BRITNEY Spears has revealed she lost her baby in an emotional message.
She began: "It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce we lost our miracle baby early in the pregnancy.
"This is a devastating time for any parent."
"Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along, however we were overly excited to share the good news" she added, amid her earlier announcement she was expecting with her fiancé.
She continued, "Our love for each other is our strength.
"We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family."
Britney concluded, "We are grateful for all of your support. We kindly ask for privacy during this difficult moment."
She signed the Instagram note in a script font at the bottom, "Sam & Britney" and captioned the photo with an additional note of gratitude:

"We are grateful for what we have in the process of expanding our beautiful family. Thank you for your support."
Sam commented under the post: "We will have a miracle soon," with a red heart emoji.
Britney has 30 percent custody of her two boys and pays her ex-husband Kevin child support.
Britney announced she was expecting in a surprise message on the same platform last month.
On April 11th, the pop superstar took to Instagram to share a photo of pink flowers, with the caption: "I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back.
"I thought 'Geez… what happened to my stomach?' My husband said, 'No, you’re food pregnant, silly.'
"So I got a pregnancy test… and uh well... I am having a baby… four days later..."
She continued in the earlier post, noting she was planning to be vocal about her journey: "It’s hard because when I was pregnant [previously] I had perinatal depression. I have to say it is absolutely horrible. Women didn’t talk about it back then... but now women talk about it everyday!"
Britney concluded: "This time I will be doing yoga every day! Spreading lots of joy and love."
Fans rushed to the comments section as one wrote: "Oh my God! Congrats Britney!!"
Sam - who she often calls her husband - hinted over the holidays that the couple was planning to have a child.
A source earlier claimed to The Sun that Britney's future children would “absolutely not” have a relationship with her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears - previously her conservators.
Britney's conservatorship officially ended after 13 years without requiring any further evalutation as Judge Brenda Penny ruled in favor of the Grammy award winner.
She now has full control of her life for the first time since before 2008.
In the week leading up to the ruling, the star shared her thoughts on the important day in a now-deleted post.
"This week is gonna be very interesting for me," she wrote at the time. I haven't prayed for something more in my life."
Her father, Jamie, agreed to step down, but the entertainer will still be under the care of professional Jodi Montgomery, who mangers her medical and personal affairs.
When Judge Penny suspended Britney’s father, she stated: "Based on what I read in the filings, and I read everything. I do believe the suspension of Jamie Spears is in the best interest of Britney Spears."
Britney and Sam were romantically linked in 2016, meeting when he starred in a music video of hers, and got engaged on September 12, 2021.
Previously her conservatorship hadn't allowed them to do so, nor was she allowed to expand her family.
